Every member of the Care Team holds a recognised Care Qualification. They are assessed externally and a high standard of work is expected from all candidates.

Carers who work for Cygnet Care, some of whom have been with the Company since it was formed in 1993, are committed to delivering dedicated and highly skilled care to our Clients. The Company places great emphasis on providing continuity of Care staff, reliability, and compatibility between Client and Carer.

The people that become Cygnet Carers, are chosen after a meticulous and searching recruitment procedure. The method of selection is carefully monitored and structured by the Care Quality Commission with whom Cygnet Care is registered.

All new members of the team are checked by the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) which includes their name being passed through the register for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults. All references are taken up with past employers. When this procedure has been fully completed then employment within the community will gradually be introduced.

Carers follow a varied and regular external training programme, delivered by a qualified trainer and also a qualified Nurse.
